Secrets of Succulent Care

Secrets of Succulent Care

After 4-6 weeks, your plants may lighten in color. When that happens, disassemble the arrangement. Follow these tips to extend the life of your gift—even make it last a lifetime!

Make sure your succulents are planted in well-draining soil to not sit in water. Use pots with drainage holes or add a layer of rocks at the bottom.

Water your succulents when the soil is dry to the touch. This is approximately every two weeks in warmer months or 3-4 weeks in the colder months. Avoid getting water on your plant's leaves, as that can potentially cause rot or brown spots.

Your plants require bright, filtered sunlight. Avoid intense, direct sunlight to prevent burned leaves. Remember, it's normal for the outer leaves to die off. Pinch off old, brown, and shriveled tips.
